Wednesday April 10, 2024 from 3:30-5:30
Fruitville Library Branch, 100 Apex Road, Sarasota 34240
Public Meeting Room
SEERD, a registered 501(c) (4) organization with the IRS and State of Florida, invites its supporters to join together as we look back on our first year of intense activity, husbanding our limited financial resources for advocating responsible development through effective land use planning, inclusive and accountable governance, and sustainable growth management in the Bee Ridge neighborhood of Sarasota County.
We will review some of the lessons we learned, highlight the accomplishments achieved by our small army of volunteers, skilled legal and engineering consultants, and partners in and outside of government, all made possible by our generous financial supporters. We hope to get feedback from neighborhood residents, update everyone on important recent developments and answer questions, listen to other ideas and suggestions, and warmly welcome others to join and contribute to our efforts. We will use the meeting to preview our plans for the coming year as we set our sights on the considerable challenges ahead being necessitated by on onslaught of more rapid and in many cases poorly managed growth in and around our neighborhood and across Sarasota County.
Our meeting room at the County Library branch has an occupancy limit of 80 persons. We will ask that anyone planning to attend please email brendastk@yahoo.com to reserve a space. We hope to have representatives from all areas and communities within the broader Bee Ridge neighborhood, and look forward to a productive discussion.
